Testimonials

This is what a few of our students say about our adult classes…

No matter what your motivation to learn Greek or to what level, this is the place to come. I have been attending classes for three years now and find the teachers excellent, not only in their teaching skills, but in their ability to inspire self confidence.

The classes are friendly; the atmosphere relaxed which makes learning fun but still challenging. All aspects of the language are covered speaking, writing, reading, the grammer, and you also get a sense of the country and its culture. Before you know it you will be conversing to a good standard, and eager to learn more.

I can’t recommend the classes highly enough!

I started to learn Greek a few years ago. A challenge for a mature lady.  My confidence did falter but after spending a year with Iordanis, I have thoroughly enjoyed not only the Greek lessons but also our interesting discussions about the history and culture. I now look forward to my lessons and even felt confident enough to speak Greek on holiday.

I have been attending the adult evening class for three years now and have thoroughly enjoyed studying Greek with the expertise and encouragement of a Greek national qualified teacher.  Initially I was a little nervous as my Greek was almost non - existent. However with the help and support of the teachers here I can proudly say I can now read, write and speak Greek to a useful level !  I have become more confident to "have a go" and nobody makes you feel embarrassed if you don't always get right.

As well as enjoying learning the Greek language there have been other aspects I have benefitted from.  I have become more knowledgeable about Greek history, customs and traditions as well as the geography of the country.  These are talked about informally if we, as students, ask questions we have an interest in.  For me as a senior citizen the classes have also been stimulating and kept my brain active.

I would highly recommend coming to the adult classes.  You can start at an appropriate level and progress to suit yourself.  I think if you do this you will be surprised at what you can achieve.
