Saturday the 6th of July was the last day of the Greek school of Nottingham for the Academic year 2018-2019

Greek school will re-open on Saturday the 7th of September 2019 – which is also going to be the Registration day for old and new pupils/students.  Parents/carers of old and new students are kindly requested to be at school at 10:30 am for registration.  For pupils this is going to be a normal school day

The school committee and the teachers wish everyone a Happy Summer Holiday

On Sunday 24th of March 2019 the Greek school of Nottingham will celebrate the national days of the 25th March 1821 and 1st April 1955. The presentation will take place inside the church at the end of the Holy Service.  Parents however are kindly requested to bring children earlier to attend the Holy Service and the Doxology and not later than 12:30.

This is to remind you that on Sunday 27/01/2019 our school will be celebrating in the church the Three Hierarchs day which is the day of the Greek letters and education.

As every year, this is the day that Level 1& 2, GCSE and A Level certificates are being awarded to successful students.  Therefore all pupils and parents and especially the ones that passed their exams during the last school year are invited to attend and receive their certificates.

On Sunday 29th of January 2012 our school will be celebrating the Three Hierarchs day which is the day of the Greek Education (Γιορτή των Ελληνικών Γραμμάτων).  This will take place at the church at about 12.00.

As every year, this is also the day that all the certificates for those pupils/students who took exams during the previous academic year will be given.  This includes all sorts of examinations including GCSE, A Levels and Level1 (Myrto’s class) and Level2 (Katerina’s class).

It will be a nice opportunity to congratulate kids for their achievements, don’t miss it.

This year’s 28th of October celebration (OXI day) will be celebrated this Sunday 21 October 2018 inside the church after the Holy Liturgy.  Our children will be presenting a small parade around the church, poems and plays.  Parents and children should be in church at 11:30 am.  We would like to ask parents to provide food contributions for the tea/coffee buffet that will be served in the church Hall after the end of the celebration

We also remind you that next Saturday 27/10/2018 the Greek school will be closed due to Half Term break. It will reopen on Saturday 3/11/2018

Dear parents/carers,

Due to weather conditions, the Greek school of Nottingham will be closed tomorrow Saturday 03/03/2018, for the safety of both the pupils and the teaching staff, as coming to school involves considerable travelling for many of us

On behalf of the Greek school committee

Iordanis Paraskevopoulos

Head teacher Greek school Nottingham

Greek school will be closed this Saturday 21/12/2013 as Djanogly City Academy informed us that they are not able to provide us the school premises due to their staff shortages.  School will re-open on Saturday 11/01/2014.

We wish everyone "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year"

The Greek school Notingham management committee

The Greek School of Nottingham 2017-2018 Opening and Registration day is on Saturday 9th of September 2017 at 10:30 at Djanogly City Academy.  Old and new pupils/students are invited to register for the new school year and stay for the first lesson.  Books and stationery will also be given this day.

Please also note that the New Academic year 2017-2018 Blessing (Αγιασμός-Ayiasmos) will take place in our church on Sunday 10th of September after the Holy Service.  Please remember that the Service finishes at 12:30 which means the Blessing will be starting at approximately 12:00.
