Children's Classes

The following children's classes run each year:

  • One Reception class (ages 4 to 6 years old)

  • Five Primary Classes: Levels 1A and 1B, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5.

  • Two Secondary Classes (Pre-GCSE and GCSE Levels) for children who wish to take GCSE exams in modern Greek.

From the 2023-24 academic year, the school also runs a toddler club for children younger than 4 years old.

The School follows the official curriculum of the Greek and Cypriot Ministries of Education.

Course books and other teaching material, are distributed to children free of charge and come directly from the Greek and Cypriot Educational Missions, based in London. This material is specifically designed to meet the needs of children of Greek origin who live in the UK.

The subjects taught are:

  • Greek language

  • History and Culture

  • Greek and Cypriot traditional Dances

All school activities are connected with the Greek national and religious celebration days, celebrated either at the school hall or at the Greek Orthodox Church community hall, after the closest Sunday's Holy Liturgy (see annual and daily school schedule). These school presentations are a good opportunity for children and adults of the Greek community to meet and socialize.
