Εirini Androulaki

Headteacher, Level 1A

​

Eirini Androulaki was born in Chania, Crete. She is the headteacher of our school and teaches in Level 1A. She is a qualified special educational needs (SEN) teacher with postgraduate studies in the field. She has been teaching in our school since 2008 and in English schools since 2010. She is married and has three boys, all attending the school.

Olga Papadopoulou

Teacher, Level 1B

​

Olga Papadopoulou was born and raised in Kavala. She studied Economics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. After completing her studies in Athens, she went on to complete her Masters degree in Business Analysis and Finance at the University of Leicester in 2004. She’s been living in the UK ever since.

Katerina Miariti-Rippon

Teacher, Levels 2-3

 

Katerina Miariti-Rippon was born in Athens and grew up in Volos, Greece. She has studied Philology, English Language Methodology and Literature, in the Education Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has taught in private and state schools in Thessaloniki and Volos and she had been the Director of Academic Studies in Eurognosi Education Institute. She has been teaching in our School since 2012 whilst working as a Qualified Classroom Teacher in KS2 in Nottingham.

Stella Britzolaki

Teacher, Levels 4-5 & adult's classes

 

Stella Britzolaki was born to Greek parents in Zimbabwe and grew up in South Africa and Greece. She has first-hand experience of learning Greek as a student at a community school like ours. She studied English Literature at the University of Athens and holds an MA in Post-Colonial Literature from the University of Warwick. She has been teaching in the school since 2023 but has taught at schools in Greece and in the United Kingdom.

Effimia Englezaki

Teacher, Pre-GCSE Level

​

Effimia Englezaki graduated from the faculty of Philology (Classics), University of Crete (BA). She is currently a postgraduate student in the faculty of Theatre Studies - Acting & Directing (MA) at the OUC, and holds a degree from the Iasmos Drama School of Athens. As a Philologist-Theatrologist she teaches Greek as a foreign language, Literature, Ancient Greek, Latin, History, Philosophy, Drama, and History of Theatre and Cinema. Furthermore, she specializes in e-learning and she is a book editor and script writer. She has co-created, directed and performed in several original productions.

Dimitris Karageorgiou

Teacher, GCSE Level

​

Dimitris Karageorgiou was born in Thessaloniki, and studied Philosophy and Education in the Aristotle University. Since 2015 he has been working as a Supply Teacher in schools in the area of Nottingham. He has also provided Primary Academic Support at Into-University in Nottingham from 2015 to 2016. In 2017 he worked as an Exam Invigilator for GCSE in Djanogly City Academy. In 2017 he volunteered as a Teaching Assistant (TA) in a Nottingham school with young people aged between 3-18 years, with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties. He is currently finishing his MSc in Psychology at The Open University of England

Vasiliki Kargakou

Teacher, Toddler group

​

Vasiliki Kargakou has being living in Nottingham since October 1992. She studied at Nottingham Trent university HCIMA 1993-1995 and worked in UK and Greece for 12 years. She currently works for the Nottingham City Council, as a family support worker, qualified in child development, EYFS lead. She is a mental health first aider, pediatric first aider, safeguarding children complying with NCC policies and procedures.

Evangelos Palaiologou

Greek Dance Teacher

Evangelos Palaiologou is a graduate of the Department of Public Relations and Communication of the ATEI of the Ionian Islands (Argostoli). He is also a graduate of the Higher School of Tourism Education of Rhodes (ASTER) and a graduate of the Higher School of Pedagogical & Technological Education in the Annual Pedagogical Training Program (A.S.PAI.TE). He has been trained in Greek Traditional dances at the "Dora Stratou" Dance Theater. He teaches in a Special Educational Needs school in Nottingham.
